Rousoku TOHAKU

Rousoku TOHAKU are only made from wax taken from the fruit of the Japanese wax trees in the Chikugo region of Kyushu. The stickiness of this type of wax helps to prevent dripping when the wax melts. The softly swaying flame gives a true sense of relaxation. Wax from the fruit of the Japanese wax tree has been used since ancient times to make traditional Japanese candles, but the amount available has decreased rapidly in recent years. At Takazawa Candle, we participate in a wax tree-planting program while producing our candles and significantly advocate preservation activities. Rousoku TOHAKU candles bring together the people who light them with the people who harvest the wax from the wax tree fruits and with nature.
