Rosoku TOHAKU

Rosoku TOHAKU are handmade from 100% natural wax, taken from the fruit of the Japanese wax trees in Chikugo region of Kyushu.

The elegant form is inspired by a pine forest in pictures by Tohaku Hasegawa, one of the greatest Japanese style painter in Japan.

In ancient times, most of traditional Japanese candles were made from this type of wax but the amount available had decreased rapidly in recent years. At Takazawa Candle, we participate in a wax tree-planting activities while producing our candles and significantly advocate preservation.
